Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using alienicons.com (the "Service"), operated by AlienIcons ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it updated.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Icon Licensing
Free Icons
Icons marked as "Free" are available under a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license. You may use free icons in personal and commercial projects — websites, apps, presentations, and marketing materials.
Premium Icons
Premium icons are licensed per your subscription tier. Your license terminates when your subscription ends, except for icons already incorporated into published projects.
Restrictions (all icons)
Payments & Subscriptions
Premium plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout.
All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
Cancel anytime from your profile page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Price changes require 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers won't see changes until their next renewal.
Failed payments may result in suspension of premium access.
Canva Integration
Our Canva application lets you browse and use AlienIcons within the Canva editor. Use of the Canva app is subject to these Terms and Canva's Terms of Use. We are not responsible for Canva's platform, availability, or policies.
Intellectual Property
All content on the Service — icons, animations, Lottie files, SVG files, designs, branding, software, and documentation — is owned by AlienIcons or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property to you. The icon licenses in Section 4 are usage licenses only.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or connected systems.
Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to extract icons or data without written consent.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or connected servers.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code.
Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party platforms (Canva, payment processors, analytics providers). We are not responsible for their availability, content, or practices. Use of third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies.
Disclaimers
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. This includes implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AlienIcons and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AlienIcons and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Sections that by their nature should survive — licensing (4), intellectual property (7), disclaimers (10), and limitation of liability (11) — will survive termination.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
